Chakra Meditation Lesson Tutorial M15

Just before retiring at night and at early morning immediately after sleep, empty your mind of all thoughts. Then repeat any of the following affirmations that suit you, first loudly, then mentally.

(1)     Concentrate your vision and feeling  in between the eyebrows,  close your eyes, and  repeat the following  three times: "I will, with my own will,  which flows  from the Divine Will, to be healthy, to be well, to be prosperous and spiritual, to be well,  to be well.”

(2)     Close your eyes, concentrate upon the heart throb and repeat with devotion and feeling: "Thou art love, Thou art love, I am Thine, Thou art mine, I am Thine, Thou art mine; I am love, I am love, love is healthy, love is perfect; I am healthy,  I am love,  I am whole, I am perfect.”

(3)     Concentrate upon the Navel and imagine a luminous light there. Close your eyes. Feel the navel and repeat with imagination and devotion; “Thou art life, Thou art strength, Thou art mind, and imagination, Thou art thought, Thou art fancy; I am thought, I am fancy. In every way, in every way, I am like Thee, I am like Thee; I am whole, I am like Thee.

(4)     Concentrate upon the medulla, close your eyes, and feeling or visualizing the light there, repeat: "Thy Cosmic Current flows in me, flows in me; through my medulla flows in me, flows in me. I think and will the current to flow, in all my body the current to flow. I am charged, I am cured, I am charged, I am cured.  Lightning flash goes through me. I am cured, I am cured,"

CONSCIOUS METHOD OF HEALING

(1)     Repeat any of the above affirmations during the day and night before and after meditation. All students should make frequent use of “Scientific Healing Affirmations,” which they will find very helpful.

(2) By the power of will, send the Life Energy very slowly to the affected body part again and again, and feel the healing energy scientifically healing you. Self -Realization instructions have taught you to do that in former Lessons.

Individual and group meditation both are desirable.

In addition, group meditation also recharges the mind with the vibrations of the spiritual convictions of other souls.

Meditation in solitude gives depth;

and meditation in groups reinforces each devotee’s individual effort with an invisible vibration of combined spiritual power.

-- Paramahansa Yogananda

THE BEST TIME FOR PRAYER

The love between the soul and the Spirit is perfect.

it is the love you all seek.

When you meditate, love grows ever greater.

Infinite beats of joy fill your heart.

If you meditate deeply,

you will be filled with a feeling of love so great that no human words can describe.

you will know His divine love.

and be able to love others with the same pure love.

Thus, deep prayer works.

The best time to pray is at night.

when there are fewer distractions.

If necessary, get some sleep in the evening.

so that you can be wide awake when you say your prayers at night.

confiding in God.

It may seem difficult at first.

but as you keep trying.

you will find it easier.

You will be surprised at the results.

As soon as your will becomes powerful,

God begins to respond.

And when the Infinite condescends to break His vow of silence,

you will no longer be able to contain your joy.

A devotee, even in earlier stages of spiritual progress,

who has attained calmness in meditation

but later succumbs to habits of restlessness

constantly feels the painful contrast —

a contrast he also endures

between the formerly experienced deep happiness of the meditative state

and the subsequently experienced evanescent mundane pleasures

if he returns to his “old ways” of materialistic habits after a deep meditation.

The lustre of earthly pleasure is pale before the splendour of God-joy.

From communion with the bliss of God the devotee breathes true life and happiness.

once quaffed, never forgotten.
